Where people get stuck
A saved item shows up as ‘failed’
That means it could not reach the analysis server. Check your network and try again from the item's detail screen. Even while it is offline, the text recognized on your device is still there, so you can find the item by searching.
Picnoto is not in the share sheet
Scroll to the bottom of the share sheet and tap Other or More to see the full list. Turn Picnoto on there and drag it up, and it will sit near the front from then on.
It does not ask about new screenshots
iOS does not tell an app about screenshots taken in other apps right away. Picnoto looks for new screenshots in your camera roll the moment you come back to it, and then asks. If you declined the photo permission, you can allow it again in Settings → Picnoto → Photos.
A place can't be found on the map
A business name on its own can match several places. Adding the city or area on the review screen narrows the candidates down. If it still doesn't come up, the business may have been renamed or may not be listed on the map at all.
I want to delete my data
Deleting an item also deletes its original image, the recognized text and its search index. Deleting the app removes everything stored on the device. If you have created a share link and want it taken down before it expires, send us the link at the address above.
When you report a bug
These three things make it much faster to fix.
- Your iPhone model and iOS version (Settings → General → About)
- What you were doing when it happened — the order you tapped things
- A screenshot of the screen (please cover anything private)
